School-Age speech pathology refers to services provided for preschool (aged 3-4) as well as K-12 students, typically in an educational institution, but also may b provided in afterschool, home, or outpatient care. There are many methods of service provision within this wide age range, which is intended for the purpose of meeting the specific educational needs of the student, in which a variety of disorders related to expressive and receptive language, speech articulation and fluency, and learning and literacy are considered.
